HC Košice had better entry to the match better, with team´s first chance at the beginning of the minute 4.   However, after outnumbering two to one the goal-keeper Adam Nagy was able to prevent the score.   But after a short time, Pulli has scored a goal immediately after a face-off.  Next, HC Detva presented a breakaway of two players against one defender, but flying puck was stopped by the structure of the net.  Before break, Hričina and Pacan were very close to increase of the score when Hričina found only Nagy who was ready and Pacan´s tip-on was flying toward the barrier.

HC Košice team was better also in the middle of the match. After 1 minute and 1 second, the team was able to increase score to 2.0, when Kafka became a next shooter. ON the other side, Surovka presented a good shot from the blue line, but this shot ended in the Habala´s trapper. Before break, Kafka shot his second goal in the match, so after 40 minutes the score was 3:0 for Košice.

In the third period, the visitors tried to shake their opponent; however KC Košice team was able to control game without any problems and avoided any chance of tying of the score.  On the contrary, Petráš was very close to increase of the score to 4:0 but Adam Nagy was ready to top his try. In the minute 58, Tibenský scored so the final score was 3:1.

Milan Jančuška, Košice coach: "Today victory was not easy. The opponent was very defensive and it was very difficult to overcome this tactics. I was missing slightness and dynamics in skating technique. We will use a break in representing for the rest and training.

Ivan Dornič, Detva coach: "I´m glad that team was not afraid of Košice today. However, 3 goals were needless and resulted from our mistakes. It is very difficult top tie such score against club such as Košice.
