Our hockey-players will finish their journey through the basic part on Sunday, March 11, 2018. In Steel Arena they will welcome in the match of the 54th round the players of HKM Zvolen. The last duel of the basic part will bring for the supporters of the Steelers several marketing activities. Therefore, it is necessary to come to the stadium at 4:45 PM already!

After arrival to Steel Arena each visitor will receive a free bulletin dedicated to 30th anniversary of the Champion title of Czechoslovakia. On the ice-rink we will then invite the protagonists of the memorable season of 1987/1988, who in former TJ VSŽ jerseys gained the second championship title for Košice. The hockey-players of the A-team will play in orange and black vintage jerseys from the year 1988, which will be auctioned after the match. During the first break we will baptize the beer named Košice Champions!

The hockey-players of Zvolen approached the finish of the basic part in great shape and therefore the Sunday’s match can again promise a great experience. Of the last six matches the players of Zvolen lost just one. Last time they enjoyed the victory 5:2 over Liptovský Mikuláš, when Špirko, Steen, Ross, Flick, and Coffman scored. However, there are difficult matches ahead of Zvolen in the end of the basic part. On Friday they will welcome Dukla Trenčín at home and on Sunday they will travel to Košice. They will definitely not be willing to give up their current 3rd position in the extra-league chart. Right now they have 107 points. They are short just one point compared to Banská Bystrica on the second position and have 4 points more than Dukla Trenčín.

The leader of productivity of HKM Zvolen is Timothy COFFMAN. This skilled forward collected 55 points for 30 goals and 25 assistances in 54 matches of this season. With this number of goals, he is also the best goal shooter of the Knights from Zvolen. On the second place in Canadian classification is another legionnaire, the Czech Petr OBDRŽÁLEK.
