On Friday we play against Trenčín
The Steelers will welcome on their ice-rink, in the smash of the round, the hockey-players from Dukla Trenčín. So they will fight for important points of the extra-league chart. The bully of this attractive match will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 5:30 PM!
Before the opening bully we will welcome our Olympic players. Ladislav Nagy and Marek Hovorka will play for the first time after returning from the 23rd Winter Olympics in South Korea on the home ice-rink. Let's welcome them as it is proper, show the players and fans from Trenčín how great audience we are!
During the last five matches the hockey-players of Dukla Trenčín managed to win over their opponents only twice and after the Olympics they lost the match in Nitra 1:4 and on Wednesday they played in Banská Bystrica. Currently they are on the fifth position of the Tipsport League chart.
The captain Branko Radivojevič is on the top of Canadian point classification of our Friday's opponent. In 39 matches he managed to score 15 times and add also 22 assistances. One point less has a participant of the last Winter Olympics – Peter Ölvecký. He played 43 matches and his balance is 16 goals and 20 assistances. The most productive defender is Tomáš Starosta,also Slovak Olympic player. In 43 matches he scored 5 times and passed for additional 14 goals. The obvious “number one” in the net is Michal Valent, who was in the selection of the Tipsport League in the All-star match. Native from Martin defended the net in 43 matches of the Tipsport League with the success rate of 93.50%.
With Dukla Trenčín we will have on Friday the last mutual match of the basic part. In current five matches we enjoyed victory three times. At home we beat the Soldiers from Trenčín 5:1 and 4:2, outside Košice we enjoyed the victory 3:2 after extension. On the contrary Dukla overpowered us on their ice twice 3:1.
