In quick succession, the Steelers will host another opponent, who doesn't come far away from Košice.  On Friday, October 4, Košice will host the Hungarian Miskovec in the Steel Arena. The match between the leader of the table and the fifth team of the Tipsport League starts at 5:30 PM!

Miskovec, the last season's newcomer, entered the season very well. This season, Miskovec has already played 8 championship games, won 4 of them, and currently has 12 points in the table.  In the last round, DVTK players played in Detva, where they lost 1:3. Tamás Reszegh was the only player from Miskovec scoring in the 6th minute.

During the summer, no big changes occured in the DVTK team. The coach Glen Hanlon has been replaced by the Slovenian coach Marcel Rodman, who led the Croatian club Medveščak Záhreb in EBEL League last year. Most of the players from HC Kosice kept their position in the team, however, there were some changes between legionaries. From the competitor MAC Újbuda, they gained the Hungarian representation goalie, Miklos Rajna and the Canadian defender with the Hungarian passport Jesse Dudas. The pair of former Zvolen defenders – Nick Ross and Davis Vandane also transferred to Miskovec. The three new defenders immediately became the leaders of productivity not only in their team, but they have also become the rulers of the best league defenders ranking. New forwards include Canadians Kyle Beach, Francis Beauvillier, Mathieu Tousignant and Slovene David Rodman. The newcomer of the forwards is only the 22 years old Romanian representation player Tamás Reszegh. Native of Romanian city Miercurea Ciuc has already achieved 8 points in 8 matches for 4 goals and 4 assists. So far, the most productive player of the league is the experienced forward, Janos Vas, with 11 Canadian points, when he managed to score twice and assist in 9 goals.
