On Friday afternoon we officially launched the Tournament in honor of Ján Šterbák. The tournament was opened by his wife, Mrs. Eleonóra Šterbáková, son Marcel Šterbák, and the president of HC Košice Július Lang. The matches were in progress since the early morning. At the end of the first day we booked the following results:

Poprad - Košice 2:3 (best players Pitka/Faith)
Žilina - Trenčín 4:3 ((Tomašek/Mišák)
Nitra – Székesfehérvár 4:2 (Sobotka/Hajdu)
Slovan – Poprad 1:2 (Šatan/Pitka)
Košice – Žilina 4:2 (Bodnár/Latková)
Trenčín - Nitra 2:1 (Radivojevič/ Sobotka)
Székesfehérvár - Slovan 0:5 (Szakáll/Červenka)

The second day brought the following results:

Košice – Székesfehérvár 4:1 (Faith, Vén)
Slovan - Nitra 5:2 (Fabuš, Valent)
Poprad – Trenčín 0:3 (Martinko, Fursten)
Székesfehérvár – Žilina 3:8 (Lencsés, Lašš)
Nitra – Košice 2:3sn (Ács, Kiss)
Trenčín – Slovan 0:2 (Kukučka, Kubovič)
Žilina – Poprad 4:7 (Harvánek, Božoň).

The tournament will continue with the next matches on Sunday from 8:30 AM, admission is free for all matches. The closing ceremonial is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
